Unit Overview
- Number of Beds: 28
- Patient Ratios: Days: 5-6:1; Nights: 6:1
- Staffing Description: Days: Unit Secretary, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- Type of Equipment: Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, remote telemetry
- Documentation System: Meditech
Position Details
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday), weekdays are flexible
- Floating Policy: PRN, mainly between medical-surgical units
- Patient Experience Requirements: BSSR, Hourly Rounding
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must Have: Strong assessment skills, experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
- Advanced Skills: IV and Foley catheter placement
- Certifications: BLS, NIH, CPI preferred
Dress Code
Black or royal blue scrubs
