- Unit Name: 3rd Floor
- Number of Beds: 25
- Patient Ratios:
- Days: 5-6:1
- Nights: 6:1
- Staffing Description:
- Days: Unit Secretary, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- Nights: 2-3 PCT
- Equipment Used:
- Sara Steady
- Wound Vac
- Tele Health
- Virtual Sitter Equipment
- Remote Telemetry
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday); weekdays are flexible
- Floating Policy: As needed, primarily between medical-surgical units
- Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside Shift Report (BSSR), Hourly Rounding
Qualifications
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years
- Must Have: Strong assessment skills; experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
- Advanced Skills Needed: IV and Foley catheter placement
- Certifications Required: BLS, NIH, CPI preferred
Dress Code
Black or Royal Blue scrubs
