Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical care to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on providing compassionate and quality nursing care to patients in medical and surgical settings, with a particular emphasis on oncology and related conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical specialty within a similar healthcare setting.
• Oncology experience preferred, with competency in caring for patients in a step-down unit and those with heavy sickle cell conditions.
• Chemo certification is highly preferred.
• Active nursing license verified through Nursys.

Candidate Profile Requirements

• Current resume or work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Skills checklist demonstrating relevant clinical skills and competencies.
• Professional references available upon request.
• Certification card pertinent to nursing qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical/surgical unit.
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
