Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with Surgery and Trauma experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population, including surgical patients, those with gunshot wounds, and individuals with quadriplegia or paraplegia.
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals including phlebotomists and unit secretaries, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans to address individual patient needs.
• Participate in nurse handoffs with Emergency Department nurses and admitting units to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1 while ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high acuity setting, specifically in Surgery and Trauma nursing.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
• Willingness to work various shifts as needed—no block scheduling available.
• No request for time off (RTO) is allowed.
