Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Med/Surg Unit. This position is vital in delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 25
- Patient Ratios: Days 5-6:1; Nights 6:1
- Unit Staffing:
- Days: Unit Secretary, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- Nights: 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)
- Type of Equipment: Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter Equipment, Remote Telemetry
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday); weekdays are flexible
- Floating Policy: PRN, mostly between Med/Surg units
- Patient Experience Requirements: BSSR, Hourly Rounding
Qualifications
- Required Skills: Strong assessment skills, experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
- Advanced Skills & Procedures: IV and Foley catheter placement
- Certifications Preferred: BLS, NIH, CPI
- Years of Experience: 2 years
Dress Code
Required uniform: Black or Royal Blue scrubs.
