Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our Medical Surgical units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide effective patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans, as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with hospital policies, including providing instruction to patients and their families.
• Engage in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal care plan.
• Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, appropriately escalating issues through the chain of command when necessary.
