Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a commitment to excellent patient outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient needs in the Emergency Department.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for patient documentation and data management.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Experience with Cerner EMR system is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department setting.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.
Work Schedule
This position involves working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend. If a holiday falls on the scheduled rotation, working that day will be expected.
