Unit Information

• 5 Operating Rooms, 1 Cysto Room
• Typically manage 4-5 ORs daily
• Dedicated staff for each room includes one circulator, one scrub, one first assistant, along with a daily board runner
• Additional support for total joint procedures as required

Equipment and Documentation

• Documentation system: Meditech
• Advanced equipment utilized in surgical procedures

Scheduling Requirements

• Full-time hours with 1-2 late shifts per week
• Participation in rotating weekend call schedule

Floating Policy

Typically, staff do not float. However, opportunities may be available in other departments of surgical services in case of low volume, within scope of practice.

Patient Experience Requirements

Experience with orthopedic and spine procedures is preferred, as these are the primary service lines. Familiarity with general, vascular, urology, gynecology, neuro, ENT, podiatry, bariatric, and robotic services is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Tennessee RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Preferred experience in the specified service lines

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided at the facility.
