- Progressive Care Nurse, Intermediate Care Nurse, Definitive Observation Unit Nurse, Stepdown Nurse or Surgical Stepdown Nurse (2 years)
Description
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care team. This role will involve providing exceptional care to high-risk medical patients, specifically in areas such as respiratory, cardiac, thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery.
Schedule
Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with varying shifts required.
Responsibilities
- Utilize clinical expertise to manage care for intermediate medical patients.
- Monitor patients on RA, BIPAP, or Optiflow.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory protocols while delivering care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Intermediate Care nursing or a related specialty.
- Current AHA BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
- NIHSS certification is a plus.
Holiday Expectations
The candidate must be willing to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
