Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Labor & Delivery services, with proficiency in various clinical skills essential for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Comfortable with or exposed to Post-Partum care
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring

Required Skills

• Strong labor and delivery skills, including:
• Cervical exams
• Antepartum and labor management
• Amnio infusions
• Epidurals
• Fetal monitoring
• IV administration
• Administration of Pitocin
• Ability to circulate C-sections
• Baby catching and receiving skills, including APGAR assessments
• Knowledge of breastfeeding practices

Post-Partum Care

Strong preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable managing all aspects of post-partum care, including transition to discharge for both mother and baby.

Additional Experience

• Scrub experience is a plus; while there is always a Scrub Tech on site, scrub-trained RNs may be utilized for coverage.

Working Environment

Our facility features 20 total beds, including 12 for Labor & Delivery, 8 for Post-Partum/Antepartum care, and a 6-bed Level II NICU. The electronic medical record system utilized is Epic.

Language Preferences

Given the diverse patient population, multilingual capabilities, especially in Russian and Spanish, are preferred.

This position is located in a dynamic healthcare environment in a city in the United States.
