Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit. This role requires dedication and expertise in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.
Schedule
This position has alternating shifts from 1845 to 0715.
Location
The position is available in East Medical ICU, located in [City, State].
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is mandatory.
- Preferred certification: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
- Experience with Cerner and familiarity with Medical Intensive Care Unit and COVID-19 ICU practices are preferred.
Holiday Expectations
This position requires working 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
