Unit Information

• Location: Bay Area, TX
• Number of Beds: 24
• Number of Staff: 50
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Type of Equipment: Vents, Swans, Impellas, Balloon Pumps
• EMR: Electronic Medical Record System

Typical Hiring Profile

This position is looking for candidates with specific skill sets and experiences. Below are the requirements and preferences:

• Required Skills:
  • Must have ICU experience
• Preferred Skills:
  • Level 1 or 2 trauma experience
  • Cardiovascular (CV) surgery experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Intubation
• Central Lines
• Bronchoscopy
• External Ventricular Drains (EVDs)
• Intracranial Pressure (ICP) Monitoring
• Swanz-Ganz Catheterization
• Temporary Pacemakers
• Bolts

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Dress Code

Royal Blue scrubs are the required attire for this position.

Work Schedule

• Every other weekend required
• May be placed on call if not needed on the scheduled shift, but only for that specific shift
