Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular nursing, with specialized training in open heart recovery. This position requires experience with balloon pump management and open heart procedures, along with proficiency in the Epic electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients, particularly those recovering from open heart surgery.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist in the management of balloon pumps and support other cardiovascular procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic health record system.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in an acute care facility is preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required.
  • AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ARC-Advanced Life Support (ALS): Required.

Work Schedule

This position requires night shifts, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
