Unit Information

Join a dynamic team at a 408-bed hospital, featuring a main operating room with 14 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid cardiovascular OR, 1 cystoscopy OR, and 12 multipurpose ORs.

General Information

The team consists of approximately 60 full-time employees, including Operating Room Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Anesthesia Technicians, and various leadership roles.

Shifts & Staffing

• Day Shift: 14-16 RNs, 14-16 CSTs, Clinical Charge RNs (x2)
• Night Shift: Clinical Charge RN, OR RN (x1), CST (x1) with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General Surgery

Patient Care

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1, ensuring dedicated and focused care for each patient.

Equipment & Technology

Standard operating room equipment includes Stryker video systems and Meditech electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Candidate Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of current hospital experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Skills

• Experience in circulating and scrubbing
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR

Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed in the unit include:

• Angioplasty
• Appendectomy
• Biopsy
• Orthopedic and spine surgeries

Please note that transplant procedures are not performed in this unit.
