Job Overview

This position is for a Respiratory Therapist who will primarily work during the night shift. The role involves providing respiratory care to patients in various settings, including ER, ICU, CVICU, and inpatient wards. The therapist will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, focusing mainly on adults, with instances of pediatric and infant patients in the emergency department.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights, 1800-0630
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Holiday Requirement: Yes

Key Responsibilities

• Performing arterial blood gas (ABG) draws.
• Conducting electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Managing ventilators and providing BiPAP and CPAP therapy.
• Administering general respiratory therapy as needed.
• Assisting with intubation when necessary.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified Respiratory Tech (CRT) Verification
  • PALS
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year in adult critical care.

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult critical care, demonstrating confidence in managing complex cases. Experience with various respiratory equipment, including Avea, LTV, Zoll vents, V60, V30, SiPAP, Vapotherm, and Optiflow, is preferred.

Additional Information

• Floating between multiple locations may be required.
• Department-specific orientation will include 1 day of NEO and 3 days within the department.
• Dress Code: Black scrubs with no logos.
