Shift Information

This position offers variable shifts across a 15-week contract. Candidates will be scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Flexibility is essential, as team members will work various shift lengths and days. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours or shift preferences.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg or a higher level of care.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Licensing Information

Candidates must possess an active State of Hawaii nursing license at the start of the assignment. If not currently licensed in Hawaii, candidates are required to apply upon acceptance of the offer.

Responsibilities

The registered nurse will provide medical/surgical level care for patients aged 18 and older. There may be opportunities to float to surgical pediatric or transitional care units as needed.

• Bed size: 50
• Patient to nurse ratio: 1:5

• Pyxis
• Wound vac
• Chest tubes

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire is required. There are no specific scrub color mandates, and closed-toe shoes must be worn.

Training and Orientation

A department-specific training and orientation program will be included during the first week of employment.

Holiday coverage is required for this position.
