Position Overview

The Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry plays a vital role in patient care, focusing on the management of patients in surgical and telemetry settings. This position involves delivering high-quality nursing care while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with various procedures and provide preoperative and postoperative care.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes and health management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to care plan discussions.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact license required.
• A minimum of 2 years of MedSurg or telemetry experience is necessary.
• Candidates with critical care experience who are knowledgeable about MedSurg ratios and acuity will be considered.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.
• NIHSS certification is needed before starting, along with successful completion of a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), particularly Cerner, is preferred.

Additional Information

Candidates may be required to float to various locations within the region, including facilities in Laconia, NH, and Franklin, NH. Flexibility and adaptability are essential for this role.
