Position Overview

This is a Float Pool position for a PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in a variety of departments across multiple facilities. The role requires the ability to adapt and float between different departments as needed.

13 Weeks

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week (3/12's)
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Multiple locations within the region including:

• City, State

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Implement and document nursing care according to established procedures.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications as required.
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions and self-care skills.
• Leverage experience and judgment to plan and accomplish nursing goals.
• Perform a variety of tasks with a significant degree of creativity and latitude.

Qualifications

• Current AZ nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or Telemetry setting.
• Familiarity with cardiac drips, TAVRs, and Watchman mitral clips preferred.
• Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.

Patient Care Ratio

6 patients per nurse.
