CV Tech (Cath Lab Technician)

Overview

• Location: Middleburg, Florida
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 07:00 - 17:30
• Call: Rotating nights and every 3rd weekend, with a 30-minute response time
• Systems: Cerner EMR and Philips imaging system

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida, with primary source verification completed within 30 days before the start of the assignment
• Cath Lab Technologist experience of at least 2 years
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), required by onboarding
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), required by onboarding
• RCIS or ARRT credential required
• Valid driver's license

• Two professional references, completed before the first assignment
• Skills checklist, completed within one year of start and updated annually for the specialty

Onboarding Requirements

• Training: Core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year of start and renewed every three years, with a minimum score of 80% and two attempts allowed
• Medical imaging onboarding: Education attestation from the pre-hire six hours, signed and dated by the traveler and uploaded by the agency
• Badge photo: Forward-facing headshot on a white or blue background, with no alterations or filters
• Background and screening: Criminal background check, EPLS check within 90 days of start, education verification within 90 days of start (diplomas not accepted), and third-party employment verification for the past seven years
• Drug screen: 11-panel drug screen within 30 days before the first assignment, updated annually
• Assignment paperwork: Confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead, provided at the initial assignment and updated with each extension
• Identification: Valid, unexpired driver's license or state ID, front and back, matching the address on file. If placed outside the home state of a compact license, the license address must match the compact home state.

Health and Immunization

• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or a positive IgG titer; no declinations accepted
• Hepatitis B: Completed vaccine series or a signed and dated declination
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or documented history; no declinations accepted
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations or attestations accepted
• Influenza: Required for the 2026-2027 season (October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027). Declinations are accepted, but the candidate must wear a mask at all times.
• TB: Two-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot), with the first PPD within one year and the second within 30 days of start, or a negative IGRA within 90 days of start. The TB questionnaire is updated annually. A positive result requires a chest X-ray within the last year.
• Health statement: Statement of good health or physical exam before the first assignment, updated annually
• Fit test: Required for all travelers, preferably before start, and can be completed onsite. PAPR fit tests are not done onsite. WI and MI require 3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+. Updated annually.
