Pharmacist

Job Overview

  • Location: Springfield, Missouri
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Specialty area: Acute care pharmacy
  • Shift: Nights, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM, 7-on/7-off schedule
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Openings: 2

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Pharmacist license in Missouri
  • Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
  • Pharmacist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Driver's License

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy
  • Verify medications and related items, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, kits, crash carts, and prepack items
  • Check that code carts are restocked correctly
  • Oversee workflow for surrounding pharmacy technicians

Work Environment

  • On-site position
  • Weekend and call coverage as required by the facility
  • Float as required by the facility

Additional Notes

  • Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for travelers from November 1 to April 1
  • Training is expected to last 2–3 weeks, depending on capability
  • Extension beyond the initial assignment is very likely if performance is good

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
