Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
Overview
- Travel/Contract RN role in Aurora, Colorado
- Unit has 32 beds
- Typical ratios: 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Blue Navy
- Shift options: rotating days, with an option for nights only
- Call required per unit needs
- Weekend requirement per unit needs
- Float required: Antepartum-trained clinicians float to L&D with fetal monitoring experience
- Unit cares for postpartum patients who do not need ICU-level care, high-risk patients, antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience, and newborn patients who do not need NICU-level care
- Assignment includes care for 2000 gm and above, late preterm, substance-exposed newborns, phototherapy, magnesium drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, PCA & PCEA pumps, and breastfeeding support
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- 1 year of Post Partum experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Antepartum experience
- Labor and Delivery experience
