Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Overview

  • Travel/Contract RN role in Aurora, Colorado
  • Unit has 32 beds
  • Typical ratios: 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Scrub color: Blue Navy
  • Shift options: rotating days, with an option for nights only
  • Call required per unit needs
  • Weekend requirement per unit needs
  • Float required: Antepartum-trained clinicians float to L&D with fetal monitoring experience
  • Unit cares for postpartum patients who do not need ICU-level care, high-risk patients, antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience, and newborn patients who do not need NICU-level care
  • Assignment includes care for 2000 gm and above, late preterm, substance-exposed newborns, phototherapy, magnesium drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, PCA & PCEA pumps, and breastfeeding support

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Post Partum experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Post Partum experience
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Antepartum experience
  • Labor and Delivery experience

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
