Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Oncology (1 year of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- BLS
- ONS/ONCC
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- Previous Oncology Experience
- Oncology Nursing Certification, or prepared to obtain ideally within 3 years of date of hire
Role Summary
- Provides direct and indirect patient services to Chemotherapy patients
- Includes administrative functions, teaching, triage, counseling, supervision, delegation, and administration of chemotherapy medications and treatment as prescribed by accredited physicians/NPs
- Responsible for initiating and maintaining the computerized Plan of Care/Standard of Care on admission
- Participates in performance improvement activities
- Expected to work independently and communicate with physicians, NPs, the Nurse Manager, and co-workers about patient condition changes and policy/procedure updates
