Medical Surgical

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
13-week assignment.
Day or night 3x12 shifts.
37-bed surgical unit that takes some overflow medicine patients.
Typical staffing ratios are 4 patients per RN on days/evenings and 5-6 patients per RN on nights.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Med Surg (2 years of experience).
Med Surg experience within the last year.

Schedule / Work Expectations

Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend.
Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.
On-call is not required.

Additional Notes

Locals are not accepted within a 100-mile radius.
Open to accommodating block schedule: no.
RTO restriction: ideally no more than 5 days.
Charting system: Epic (Excellian).

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
