Radiologic Technologist

Assignment Overview

• Unit: OR West, 10 operating rooms, inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery
• Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 40 hours/week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments; on-call time is not included
• Location: Primarily the West Main campus; may float to the East campus or another OR area
• Holidays: Eligible to work any holiday while on contract
• Start date: ASAP; starts about 4 weeks out for compliance
• Orientation: Weekly, every Monday unless a holiday

On-Call and Weekends

• Up to 2 weekends per month, either on call (7 AM to 7 PM, or 7 PM to 7 AM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) or working shifts
• On-call response time: 30 minutes
• Short call shift once a week: 3 AM to 7 AM or 5 PM to 9 PM

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year, with at least 1 year of total experience
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience

Skills and Case Types

• Scrub and/or circulate general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head and neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma
• Procedures include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplants

Application and Eligibility

• Provide dates and times available for interview at submission
• Return-to-office (RTO) requests must be approved and presented at submission
• Local travelers are not accepted (cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility)
• Travelers who worked for the health system as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months are not accepted; they must be separated for six months to be considered
