Overview
- Temp Physical Therapist (PT) role in Abilene, Texas
- Long Term Care (LTC)
- Days, 8 hours per day
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ movement and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans and patient-centered goals
- Perform patient evaluations, including history, systems review, and tests/measures
- Reassess patients and their response to treatment
- Manage the discharge plan from the first visit through treatment
- Supervise and delegate to ancillary staff and students as allowed by state law and department policy
- Document accurately and within required timeframes
- Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, and the care team
- Provide patient and caregiver education
- Participate in professional development and quality improvement
- Maintain a safe care environment
- Work within the state scope of practice
