Description

Labor and Delivery RN

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Start date: 11/30 (backfilling a nurse whose assignment ends 12/5)
Schedule: Rotating night (3x12 hours, 19:00 to 7:30) and day (3x12 hours, 7:00 to 19:30) shifts; 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Eligibility: Not open to local candidates

Role Responsibilities

Comfortable completing vaginal exams and assisting with vaginal deliveries
Circulating in C-section deliveries
Starting IVs and drawing blood
Assisting with newborn stabilization after delivery using NRP skills
Recognizing complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
AWHONN Intermediate
FHM
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
