Registered Nurse – ER

Overview

• Location: Florence, Oregon
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
• Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
• Scheduling: Block scheduling may be available

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
• NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Candidate Eligibility

• Does not accept first-time travelers
• Does not accept local candidates

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background checks: 7-year background check (within 60 days of start), Social Security verification, education verification, and federal exclusion checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG). Washington candidates also need a state patrol check.
• Drug test: Required within 30 days of start. Must include standard panels; marijuana testing is required only for Oregon and Alaska candidates.
• Physical exam: Required within 1 year of start
• TB: Negative IGRA or 2 PPDs within 1 year of start, plus a TB questionnaire
• Immunizations: Proof of immunity or vaccination (or facility declination) for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B; Tdap vaccine or declination; flu vaccine or declination during flu season
• Fit testing: N95 fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually for onsite roles
• Color blind exam: Required
• RespSafety clearance: Required for onsite candidates, updated annually
• Orientation: Facility orientation test must be completed before start with a 100% score
