Schedule

• Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts, dependent on department needs)
• No Saturday shifts
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in New York (New York State Radiologic Technologist Therapy License)
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist, with recent experience within the last year
• ARRT (T)
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association (AHA only; Provider, Instructor, or RQI accepted; as required by unit)
• Experience with Epic

Adult acute care, custom molds and shields, tumor localization, block cutting, B-mode acquisition targeting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, compensation filters, portal casts, wedges, dose calculation, external beam therapy, IMRT, lift/transfer devices, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, rapid response/code team use, and Ethos or Varian equipment.

Onboarding Requirements

• Background checks (within 3 months of start): 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (rerun monthly), and education verification (transcripts or foreign equivalency evaluation if no verification is on file)
• State license: Primary source verification within 30 days of start
• Health documents (complete within 5 days of signing the contract): Physical exam, fit test, TB test or negative chest X-ray, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella titers or vaccines, flu vaccination or declination (deadline 12/3), and Snellen eye exam
• Drug screen: Within 30 days of start
• Other: Government-issued photo ID, badge photo, employment application, annual skills checklist, facility orientation modules, and a safety manual acknowledgement
• Work history: At least 2 past employments verified
• Fingerprinting: Required only if assigned to mental health, behavioral health, home health aide, or long-term care units
