Description
Outpatient Hospice RN
Location: Albany, Oregon (office location) Specialty: Nursing Employment type: Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Schedule: Days (0800-1630), occasional weekends Hours per week: 40
Role Overview
- Supports patients and family members through the final stages of illness.
- Provides care in the home setting, including the patient's own residence, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and adult foster homes.
- Serves patients in Linn, Benton, Marion, Polk, and Lincoln Counties.
- Services include intermittent skilled nursing visits (24-hour on-call nursing available), pain and symptom management, counseling, and bereavement support.
- Works alongside medical social services, spiritual support, hospice aides, and trained hospice volunteers.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN licensure, required upon submission.
- Healthcare Provider level BLS.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Hospice experience of at least 1 year, with hospice experience within the last year.
- Valid driver's license.
