RN Acute Care - Med-Surg Adult - Nights

Role Overview

• Unit: Med-Surg Acute Care/OBS Unit
• Why the opening exists: Census is growing due to increased orthopedic surgeries, Hybrid Cath Lab procedures and surgeries, and acute and chronic illnesses.
• Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients using the nursing process to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate care, with specialized knowledge of critical disease states.

Shift and Schedule

• 12-hour night shift, including a weekend rotation.
• Must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period, in place of guaranteed hours that week, if requested due to staffing needs.
• Guaranteed hours do not apply on holidays for clinic workers.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg RN experience
• Med-Surg experience within the last year
• Acute Care experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid, current RN license in Colorado
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Traveler Housing

• Newly remodeled studio and small one-bedroom apartments are available, about half a block from the hospital, based on availability.
• A wait list currently exists.
• Units are fully furnished and include Wi-Fi, utilities, and on-site laundry.
• No pets. No deposit required.
• Rent is at additional cost.
