Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Rock Island, IL Employment Type: Temp Shift: Nights Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Bed Size: 48
• Ratio: 1:5-7 on average
• Patient Types: Ortho, Bariatric, PNA, CHF, COPD, Med/Surg, Cardiac
• Drips: Heparin and insulin (non-DKA) titration on any unit; cardiac drips on the stepdown unit
• Specialty Equipment: Chest tubes, Femstops, Trachs, CBIs, Drains
• Additional Duties: May need to step in as Charge RN or Preceptor
• Float Requirement: Must be willing and able to float across campuses in Rock Island, Moline, Bettendorf, and Muscatine when needed or scheduled

Schedule and Policies

• Orientation Dates: 11/30, 12/14, 12/28
• Holidays: Unless the unit is closed, contractors must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
• Local Radius Rule: Local candidates are allowed through Dec. 31, 2026
• Separation Policy: Past employees (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel in another market, regardless of current facility, for 12 months after their last work date. This does not apply to those who worked travel contracts (not FTE or PRN) with the system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown experience of 1.25 years, with experience within the last year
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Equipment experience with central lines
• Experience with titratable drips
• Experience with cardiac drips
• Experience with Epic
• Valid driver's license
