Step Down RN
Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00), 36 hours per week Weekends: Works every other weekend Float: Floats as needed for the department
Facility Details: Short-term acute care hospital, 426 staffed beds, Level II Trauma Center. Free parking is available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Stepdown RN
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, required for all RNs except Pediatrics (including PICU), Case Management, Behavioral Health, and Home Health. Labor and Delivery requires it. Must include at least 2 CE hours from an accepted provider.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start (highly preferred, not required; declination accepted)
- Initial series of COVID vaccines (preferred if previously received)
