Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal

Overview

Required Qualifications

• ARDMS OBGYN credential
• 2 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography experience
• Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross only (required for all clinical candidates)

Preferred

• Familiarity with the facility's EMR system

Pre-Start Requirements

Background and verification

• 7-year criminal background check, run in every location lived or worked in the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted in lieu of verification)
• Work history verification covering at least 1 year before the start date (New Jersey mandate)
• 2 professional references from within the last 2 years
• Government-issued photo ID and E-Verify proof or attestation

Health and safety

• Physical exam (physician statement within the last 12 months)
• TB screening: negative 2-step PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT within 1 year of start, or chest X-ray with proof of past positive and annual TB questionnaire for positive responders
• TB questionnaire, updated annually
• 10-panel drug screen without THC within 6 months of start, updated annually
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity documentation (titers, vaccines, or declination)
• Flu vaccine documentation for the season, or an approved exemption (declinations not accepted)
• Eye exam with visual acuity of 20/40 or better
• Latex questionnaire
• Fit mask testing completed at occupational health within the first week of the assignment; outside fit tests are not accepted

Onboarding

• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Facility badge photo, submitted by the stated deadline
• Non-employee access form, which must be completed by its due date
• Competency exam, as applicable to the specialty
