ER Holding/PCU Float RN

Location: Cape Coral, Florida Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour days Hours per Week: 36

Role Overview

• Takes patients in the hallway
• Ratio 4 to 6:1, depending on patient mix
• Adult and geriatric population
• Blue scrubs
• Travelers are welcomed into units and are expected to function as core staff does
• Culture is very important

Float Scope

• Floating is required, and travelers are first to float
• May float to sister campuses
• Will not be floating to the ED

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• 2 years of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, with PCU experience within the last year
• ED (Emergency Department) experience, including ED holding experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing, or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree accreditation
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• FL/Compact nursing license, with recent Nursys verification on profile

Submission and Logistics

• Radius rule: 50 miles from permanent address
• All onboarding documents must be included at submission; no additions after submission
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start; no exceptions for pending documents
• Demographic information must be loaded to the profile (address, full date of birth, full Social Security number, RN license number); candidates cannot be confirmed without it
