Description

Temp Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Port Huron, MI Employment Type: Temp Shift: Nights, 12 hours per day Contract Length: 13 weeks

Role Overview

Delivers nursing care within the assigned unit's scope of practice, following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Emergency Department (ED) experience: 2 years, with experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association

Work Environment

Unit Size: 35 treatment rooms
Dress Code: Navy blue
EMR System: MediTech
Clinical Support: Clinical Nurse Specialists provide advanced nursing expertise to the nursing staff.
Orientation and Development: A formal orientation program tailored to individual needs. Ongoing staff development includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), wound care, and pain management.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
