ER Holding/PCU Float RN

Location: Cape Coral, Florida Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week Patient Population: Adult and geriatric Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 4 to 6 patients (depending on patient mix) Patient Care Setting: Patients are cared for in the hallway

Required Qualifications

• Valid Florida RN license (FL/Compact nursing license; recent Nursys must be on profile)
• 2 years of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Emergency Department (ED) experience

Float Scope and Expectations

• Floating is required. Travelers are first to float, and may also float to sister campuses.
• Will not float to the ED. ED experience is not required.
• Must be flexible with floating.

Application and Documentation

• All RTO must be included at submission. No approvals after submission.
• Full demographic information (address, full date of birth, full SSN, and RN license number) must be loaded to the profile at submittal. Candidates cannot be confirmed without it.
• Hard document deadline is the Monday before start. No exceptions for pending documents.
• Radius rule: 50 miles from permanent address.

• EMR: Epic (software familiarity, not a credential)
• Culture is very important. Travelers are welcomed into units and are expected to function as core staff.
