MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology) Travel Contract

Overview

• Location: Greenwich, Connecticut

Schedule and Logistics

• Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM per shift field; description lists 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM)
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Call: Potential for call
• Extensions: Maximum 7 days RTO; must be willing to add to the end of the assignment

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with breast patients and positioning

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (MR) certification
• Experience working with trauma patients
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with GE imaging equipment

Competencies

• Online color blind test required; must score 80% or higher; exams dated before the signed contract are not accepted

Background and Identity

• 7-year criminal background check within 12 months of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Verification of highest level of education required; accredited schools only; diplomas not accepted
• Foreign equivalency report and diploma required for internationally educated candidates
• Photo ID matching legal name required on first day

Health and Immunizations

• Physical exam within 12 months of start; no annual update required
• Fit test within 12 months of start, updated annually; must be clean shaven for testing
• TB: negative T-Spot or QuantiFERON-Gold within 6 months of start, or 2 negative PPDs at least 1 week apart within 12 months of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• Measles, mumps, and rubella: positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines
• Hepatitis B: positive titer, proof of 3-dose series, or declination within 1 year of start
• Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history
• 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (rapid accepted; must list 10 panels; no annual update)
• Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (09/01 to 03/31); declinations not allowed; deadline 12/01 (2026-27)

Trainings and Attestations

• Attestation of prior radiation exposure required; update if there is a 30-day gap in assignment
• 21st Century Cures Act module required
• Fire safety module, chaperone policy training, and suicide risk and environmental assessment training required for RNs and allied staff
• New employee orientation module: copy due by end of day on start date

History and References

• 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
• Verification of last 7 years of employment for start dates on or after 8/2/2024; attestations not accepted
• 2 professional references required within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist required within 12 months of start

• COVID vaccine initial series, if the candidate has received it
