Registered Nurse: Med Surg/Tele

Location: Cambridge, Ohio Employment type: Travel/Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Facility: 86-bed hospital Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (1900-0730), every other weekend and every other holiday Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Required Documents and Clearances

• Driver's license or state ID (copy required).
• Physical exam within 2 years of start, performed by an MD, RN, DO, NP, or PA, indicating the candidate is free of restrictions and clear to work.
• 7-year background check completed within 1 year before start, including SSN trace, county searches, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, and OIG/SAM sanctions screening.
• Negative 9- or 10-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start. Marijuana is tested for, and medical marijuana use is not accepted as justification for a positive result. Candidates cannot start with a drug screen pending.
• TB screening: 2 PPDs, QuantiFERON Gold, T-SPOT, or MTB within 6 months of start. A TB questionnaire is required within 90 days of start.
• Measles (rubeola), mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity: a positive titer or 2 vaccines. Negative or equivocal titers require a booster before start, followed by a second booster 28 days later, proof of prior childhood vaccination, or re-titer.
• Hepatitis B: titer, series, or declination.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or exemption on file by 12/1 for the 2026-27 flu season.
• Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year of start, renewed annually. Medical clearance for respirator use must be renewed annually if the traveler will use a respirator.
• Signed candidate agreement, service commitment, and confidentiality and internet use agreement, all completed before start.
• Employment application or resume.
• Skills checklist.
• Medical and employee information release form.

Competencies

• Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years of start.
• EKG (dysrhythmia) competency exam, required in addition to the unit-specific exam for Med Surg. If no test is on file, it must be completed within 7 days of signing. If a test is on file, it must be completed within 2 years of start.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam within 2 years of start. Must be completed within 7 days of signing.
• Online color blindness test, 100% required, with 2 attempts allowed.
