Description

Allied Rapid Response

Location: Brandon, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Hours: 48 per week
Skill Set Most Recruited For: Registered Respiratory Therapists
Unit: Respiratory Therapy NICU, 36-bed Level 3 NICU, main hospital building
Staffing: 2 Respiratory Therapists on day shift and 2 on night shift. NICU is generally staffed with 2 therapists to cover the 36-bed unit during peak volumes.
Equipment: Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A oscillators, Mallinckrodt nitric oxide, and Vapotherm

Required Qualifications

Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU with 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with NICU Level 3 patients
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NRP
NBRC

Typical Procedures

Attend high-risk deliveries
Ventilator management with conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
Surfactant administration
Blood gas acquisition and interpretation
Nitric oxide administration

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
