RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Sarasota, FL Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel
Unit Overview
- Unit: Cardiac Cath lab
- Beds/Labs: 2 labs
- Staff: 10
- Bed Capacity (facility): 155
- Staffing Need: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters
- Day Shift: Each lab has 1 or 2 RNs and a tech, or 2 techs, for a total of 3 per case
- Night Shift: On call only
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (on call, 3-person team)
- Equipment: GE
Procedures
LHC, RHC, PCI, shockwave, PPM
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience, including cardiac cath lab experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Impella
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Experience with ventilators
Schedule Expectations
- Works every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
- Scheduled in accordance with facility policy.
