Description
RN Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico Unit: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Full time, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Applies and documents the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for patients and their families.
- Consults with staff, physicians, and management on nursing problems and interpretation of policies.
- Practices the five rights of medication administration.
- Advocates for patients and families, respecting confidentiality, cultural and religious beliefs, and end-of-life decisions (code status).
- Participates in orientation, annual department competencies, legal compliance training, and quality activities.
- Communicates professionally and works collaboratively with coworkers, physicians, and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience (1 year), obtained within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- CPI certification
