Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR), Days

Location: Bad Axe, Michigan Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 9 hours per day Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs

Role Overview

Delivers quality nursing care through the nursing process.
Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
Carries out functions according to medical center policy, mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.

Unit Details

Unit Size: 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room
Staffing Ratio: 1:1
Surgical Services: Outpatient and inpatient surgeries for adults and children, with emergency surgery available 24/7. Specialties include cancer, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological surgery, ophthalmological surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatry surgery, and urological surgery.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
OR circulating experience, with at least 1 year of experience and experience within the last year
General surgery experience
Orthopedics experience
OB/GYN experience

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
