RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel RN role in the Emergency Department in Houston, Texas.
28 beds.
1:4 patient ratio.
36 hours per week.
Rotating weekends.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience).
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
ACLS.
BLS.
PALS.
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI).

Preferred

TNCC.

Unit Details

Unit: HHH West Emergency Department.
Staffed with 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 1 Triage, 1 Medic, and 1 US on both day and night shifts.
Equipment includes ventilators and Baxter IV Pumps.
Typical procedures include intubation and central line placement.
Floating area: none.

Additional Notes

EMR: Meditech Expanse.
Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
