Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Med Surg experience, minimum 1 year, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association (RQI acceptable)
• IV insertion skills

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Will work every other weekend
• Not on-call
• Will float within scope between 2 Med Surg units as needed
• Open to block schedule requests; discuss with manager
• Discuss time off requests with manager
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted, no radius

Onboarding Requirements

• Background and screening: Background check within 30 days of start, including criminal, sex offender, and national searches; EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start; education verification; state searches (Illinois Department of Corrections, Most Wanted, Child Murderer/Violent Offender Against Youth) within 30 days of start
• Illinois fingerprinting: Illinois Department of Public Health Health Care Worker Registry required for clinical candidates without an Illinois state license; fingerprints must be completed in Illinois at least 3 business days before start
• Health documents: Physical exam within a year of start; TB test (2-step PPD, TSPOT, or Qgold) within a year of start; TB questionnaire updated annually; measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity (vaccines, positive titer, or signed declination); 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; flu documentation on file by 11/30 (2026-27 season); fit test required for masks (PAPR users do not need clearance documentation)
• Competencies and history: Competency exam; skills checklist; 2 professional references
• Facility requirements: Badge photo; Code of Conduct signed within 7 days of contract signing; computer-based learning modules completed by 4 pm CST on the first day of orientation; parking permit required (form completed during orientation)
• Submittal: Provide answers on interview availability, housing review, and return-to-work/start date confirmation with submission notes
