Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry / Stepdown (Days)

Location: Muscatine, Iowa Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days Unit Size: 18 beds Ratio: 1:5-6 on average; critical patients 1:2-3 Patient Types: Med Surg plus BiPAP and critical drips Orientation Dates: 11/30, 12/14, 12/28 Scrub Color: Navy blue or black tops and bottoms, solids only

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown experience (1.25 years), with stepdown experience within the last year
• Driver's license with a taxable address within 50 miles of the facility (document required)
• Experience with BiPAP
• Experience with tracheostomy care
• Experience with Airvo
• Experience with Levophed drips
• Experience with Cardizem drips
• Experience with heparin drips
• Experience with amiodarone drips
• Experience with dopamine drips
• Experience with nitroglycerin drips
• Experience with dobutamine drips
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Drip experience with insulin (highly preferred)
• Active ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted)
• Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted)
• NIHSS certificate

Policies and Schedule Notes

• Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's.
• Past employees, whether FTE or PRN (including the float pool), cannot work travel in another market, regardless of their current or past facility, for 12 months after their employment. This does not apply if they worked travel (not FTE or PRN) at the health system.
• Local radius rule: LOCALs are allowed through December 31, 2026.
