CVOR RN
Location: Amarillo, Texas Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Specialty: Registered Nurse
Schedule
- Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7:00 to 17:30
- 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday with a rotating day off during the week
- Required call coverage
Role Details
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- 50-mile radius rule: local candidates are not accepted
Clinical Experience
- Skills needed include circulating for CABG, TAVR, Impella insertions, thoracotomy, VATS, pacemaker insertion, and balloon pump placement
Software
- Electronic charting experience required (Epic)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- CVOR experience of at least 1 year, with CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute
- Experience circulating CABG
- Experience with TAVR
- Experience with Impella insertions
- Experience with thoracotomy
- Experience with VATS
- Experience with pacemaker insertion
- Experience placing balloon pumps
- Experience with Epic
Onsite Requirements
- Additional drug screen during orientation: one attempt only, re-testing not allowed, includes marijuana. A failed screen results in cancellation.
