Peds OR RN

Job Type: RN (Registered Nurse) Location: Morgantown, West Virginia Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week Shifts: Day, Evening; rotating and all shifts needed Start Date: ASAP, though early January will be considered

Unit Details

• Peds facility with 6 OR rooms and 1 procedural room
• 15-28 cases per day
• Common cases: tonsils, hypospadias, rectus muscle, craniotomy, cardiac, and ortho
• Midnight RN serves as Charge RN

Schedule and Coverage

• Work 2-8 hour shifts and 2-12 hour shifts, or 4-10 hour shifts
• Rotational coverage of afternoon and weekend shifts when permanent staff request time off
• 1 call shift per week, plus 1-2 weekend call shifts
• Rotating holiday coverage
• Mandatory standby with a 30-minute response time
• Floating required to other units, including the children's area

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric experience (preferred, not required)
• Scrubbing experience (preferred, not required)

Submission Requirements

• Candidates can only be submitted to one position at a time across the entire health system.
• Driver's license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years.
• Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years.
• Travel teams must be submitted together in one email.
• Only 2 candidates may be submitted per opening. If the position is at maximum, the submission will be held if a spot opens up.
• All submittals must include an unexpired copy of the candidate's driver's license.
