Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Technologist at a healthcare organization in Erie, PA. This position involves supporting cardiac surgeries and procedures within the operating room environment. The role requires flexibility to meet the clinical demands of the facility and adherence to safety and procedural protocols.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week (except during orientation week)
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification in surgical technology or related field; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; located within 50 miles of the facility if applying as a local candidate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in open heart surgery settings, familiarity with cardiac procedures and instrumentation, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Additional Information: The candidate must report within 30 minutes for call requirements. Every other weekend schedule is required. Floating is a requirement of contingent staffers and may occur pre-shift, mid-shift, or several times within a shift; candidates should be prepared to float to areas of need. Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are mandated, with medical or religious declinations accepted. Time off is not managed after offer acceptance. Offers must be responded to within 48 hours, or they may be withdrawn.
