Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular position for night shifts. The role provides care for adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting, with patient ratios of 1:2. The position supports 48 hours per week and requires management of complex cardiovascular, ventilated, postoperative, and critically ill patients.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and previous travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in cardiovascular intensive care and previous charge experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Patient ratios are 1:2. Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients. Clinical responsibilities may include arterial line management; ventilator, bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP), and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) management; blood product administration; central line care; continuous intravenous sedation; continuous veno-venous hemodialysis (CVVHD) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT); extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC); intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) monitoring; left and right ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) care; post-cardiac surgery care; pulmonary artery line and Swan-Ganz monitoring; transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR); titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips; and ventilator management. Floating to like units within the scope of practice may be required.
