Job Summary:
Operating Room First Assist for Open Heart procedure at a hospital setting in Mountain View. This role involves vein harvesting and procurement utilizing the Maquet Hemopro 2 system, with responsibilities to support open heart surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve procedures, TAVR standby, laser lead standby, thoracic robotic-assisted surgeries, and general emergent open-heart operations. The position requires independence in vein procurement and surgical assistance, primarily during daytime shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), minimum of 1 year of experience, ability to perform vein harvesting with the Maquet Hemopro 2 system, and competence in vein procurement
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart procedures, knowledge of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) environments, and familiarity with EMR systems, specifically NAT
• Additional Information: The role involves rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities after hours. Candidate must adhere to hospital scrubs dress code and unit policies. The position is created to replace a contractor via a contract arrangement.
